WHY SHOULD I GET A MORTGAGE PRE-APPROVAL?
Getting a mortgage pre-approval is a great way to get started. With a mortgage approval, you will be in a better position to negotiate with sellers. You will also be able to close on a property quicker than other buyers. This shows the seller how serious you are about the property, and it will make the seller more comfortable working with you. In a "seller's market," or where supplies are limited, a pre-approved mortgage is essential.
HOW DO I FIND A LENDER
One of our greatest frustrations is working with lenders who do not have their clients best interests in mind. Some people find a lender on the internet and then discover at closing that the fees are more than they expected or the process is held up due to the fact that the lender does not know Minnesota real estate and underwriting laws. we work with lenders every day who do have their clients best interests in mind. They are local lenders and know how to get the job done on time and who based on my many experiences with them are upfront and honest about fees and expenses. We gain nothing financially if you choose to use a lender that we recommend but we all benefit by knowing that the transaction will go smoothly and get done on time. WHAT IF I ALREADY HAVE A LENDER
Having one good experience with a lender does not mean that lender performs well in a majority of the transactions. Getting a referral from a friend or using a lender that you have had one good experience with in the past does not mean that lender knows how to handle you next transaction. We can work with just about any lender but the lenders we refer have proved themselves repeatedly over the many years we have worked with them. If you already have a lender, it won't hurt to get a second opinion.
WHAT DO I NEED?
If you decide to apply for a mortgage, you will need to supply information in regards to your income, expenses, and obligations. For a full list of the items you need to bring, please contact me. Got bad credit? That's okay. Many lenders will help you find a solution to your credit problems. I work with various mortgage companies that can help you.
