Exclaimed George when we answered the phone. George enthusiastically explained that he had casually walked into a Parade of Homes model. In spite of the fact that he had no serious interest, he fell in love with a floor plan and filled out a form the agent asked him to fill out. We had to explain to George that since he did not register us as his agents, we could not now help him. We could have given him a discount on the fee for selling his home or reduced his buying expense with the builder if we could have represented him but now it was too late. George is forging ahead but has now encountered many things that the agent representing the builder conveniently didn’t tell him. His new home is now costing him more than he had anticipated and to make it worse, he can’t get the discount we would have had available for him. All George would have had to do was inform the builder’s agent that we were his agents, insured that Chuck's name was on the form he filled out and called us right away.

We get at least 4 phone calls like this every year. Don’t make the same mistake George did. If you need
